This traitor is trying to salvage what he can of what history will say about his treachery before he steps down as Leader in January. Too little, too late.

Too late Mitch. You could have settled this Jan 7. That was the day. You missed it so the first impeachment was your next chance.

You missed that too and now that is your legacy.

Agreed. As a Kentuckian, even a zip code sharer of his wretched, loyal to only his own success, cannot die soon enough to please me-self I have spent my entire adult life trying to vote this asshole out of office. It amazes me that it's taken so long for anyone to really threaten his control of the state party and the party at large. You wouldn't think a former Democrat from the largest city in the state would be able to overcome that. He wasn't even born here (neither was I but I'm not a conservative politician).

The thing that's always been the most frightening thing about him to me is he's not a stupid person at all, and he seems to care about very little other than whatever enables him to feather his nest most extensively and keep or grow his political power. Does he actually have any strong beliefs he wouldn't throw over if it was expedient? I don't believe so. But- the NYT should have covered this regardless because it is newsworthy. Anything he makes a point to address is newsworthy and this was kind of an outlier subject for him to address.

I suppose I'm jaded, none of it seems surprising or out of place.

The speech focuses solely on the fat man drifting out of America's SoI, not on him being a bad person or doing bad things. To Mitch, his only sin is playing the game instead of sitting by the master's feet. Mitch is flexing his rhetoric muscles knowing he's not hurting anyone on either side of the fence, nor abroad. In a way Orban might take this as a compliment.

Hungary is a trailblazer among eastern bloc countries in not toeing the EU-US line on the war and instead demanding all the local ruling class can get in return for tacitly agreeing to continue running logistics and allowing access repair stations for heavy equipment. So the NYT and WaPo will keep quiet, to not upset the bigger project.

Well, well. Mitch speaks. Too little too late bucko. You helped this guy remain out of jail and in politics. Without you he would now be impeached and gone. You have behaved like a weasel (no offense to real weasels). Now America is fighting what you refused to stop. Better than nothing, but not a whole lot.

Boycott The NY Times.

Countpoint: Mitch McConnell is an irrelevant old racist whom no likes or listens to anymore because they don't have to.
