As the pundits know well, if the vote of the people decided the winner, Trump would never have become president to begin with. Abolish the anachronistic democracy killer known as the electoral college, and then we’ll talk about whether the 14th amendment’s prohibition on insurrectionists holding office is too undemocratic for a nation that chooses its leaders by voting.

And having been literally told that the law and the Constitution do not apply to him?
